WinPwn 2.0 for iPhone Is Released

New software for iPhone 2.0 software WinPwn 2.0 has just been released. that will allow you to jailbreak iPhone 2.0, jailbreak iPhone 3G 2.0, or jailbreak iPod Touch 2.0.

To use it you will need to uninstall WinPwn 1.0 and have the latest version of iTunes (7.7).

WinPwn 2.0 features:

* Support for both 1.1.4 and 2.0

* Custom Image Support

* Custom Payload Support

* iPhone 3G support

Here are the official directions:

1) First create a custom IPSW using the IPSW Builder.

2) go “Ipwner” and browse for the custom IPSW that you just created. that will pwn iTunes and allow you to flash Custom IPSW files via DFU mode

3) Once you have pwned iTunes, put your phone into DFU mode.

4) Once you are in DFU mode iTunes will pop up and soon after you can hold shift and go restore and browse to your custom IPSW file.

iPhone Remains Effectively Sold Out in U.S.

MacNN reports that a survey of Apple’s iPhone availability tool shows that the iPhone 3G is effectively sold out across the country. Only 3 stores seem to have any stock for Monday dawn.

Apple notes that on Monday none of its 137 locations in the US will have stock of the 8GB iPhone and that the only location to have the 16GB black iPhone will be its retail store in Pleasanton, California.

The only other two stores to have stock of the iPhone are the retail locations in Salem, New Hampshire (Rockingham Park) and New York City (Fifth Avenue) - both of which only have the 16GB white iPhone model.
